Planning a Legacy Gift With Agape Community
Dear Friend of Agape Community,
For years, you have walked alongside us in our mission to serve those in need and live out the Gospel call to love one another. Your faithful support has made it possible for Agape Community to be a beacon of hope and compassion in our world.
Your legacy gift to Agape Community will extend your impact well into the future.
The Impact of Your Legacy
When you include us in your estate plans, you are insuring that our work of mercy, justice, and peace will continue for generations to come. Your legacy gift will support:
- Our witness for peace and nonviolence
- Our sustainable community living that honors creation
- Our ongoing work for social justice rooted in Catholic social teaching
A gift in your will creates lasting change for our growing community.
Legacy Giving Can Be Simple
We have learned that planned giving is not always complicated. Including Agape Community in your will can be as simple as adding a single sentence to your estate documents.
A Few Thoughts on Legacy Giving
Writing Agape Into Your Will or Trust
Adding language to your Will or Trust designating Agape Community as a beneficiary is something you could do with your attorney. You can leave a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder after other bequests.
Making Agape a Beneficiary
a) An IRA, 401(k), or pension plan can have Agape Community named as a full or partial beneficiary.
b) You can name Agape Community as a beneficiary of a new or existing life insurance policy.
c) Bank or Investment Accounts
Many financial institutions allow you to designate a “payable on death” (POD) or “transfer on death” (TOD) beneficiary.
