Office Assistant at Agape Community Agape Mission Statement:  Members of Agape, permanent residents, interns, and volunteers, seek to create and to preserve a peaceful and nonviolent way of life.  As lay Catholics, Agape’s co-founders are grounded in the practice of the gospel nonviolent teachings of Jesus.  We are rooted in interfaith outreach and practice with members of other faith traditions.  We welcome all who are committed to a spiritual practice in their search for peace as well as racial, ethnic and gender inclusivity.  Location: Hardwick, MA–6 miles from Ware Center, Ware, MA/40 min. from Amherst Center/30 min. from Palmer, MA Hours: Part time (flexible schedule) Minimum 15 hours per week   Rate: Starting at $20 per hour  Office Assistant will report to and work with Agape’s Office Manager, both remotely and in person.   Agape Office Assistant Responsibilities: 
  • Performs telephone reception in a courteous, professional manner. 
  • Responds to general inquiries via telephone, email, facebook and mail correspondence. 
  • Manages database management and record-keeping using excel. 
  • Promotes participation in yearly special events (e.g., Advent Celebration, St. Francis Day) preparing promotional flyers & bulk emails, making phone calls, assisting with bulk mail promotion
Qualifications  
  • High school diploma, with some college education or vocational training preferred. 
  • Previous office experience including cloud-based software.
