Suzanne and Brayton will be on a writing sabbatical from December 1st until April 1st, 2018. These four months will be spent finishing an Agape memoir and taking a needed rest and respite from the demands of our community life. We have a strong desire to spend time with family, friends and those close to us who are suffering from serious illness.
During these sabbatical months, we will not be conducting the normal Agape Community business with our regular 9am-4pm office hours. We will not hold seasonal activities or events at the homestead. We will be available by phone and enjoying friends, family and community visits intermittently throughout those four months. Please keep us in your prayers as we will be sure to remember you, our trusted and beloved supporters and friends.
We take this special contemplative sabbatical time to rejuvenate, rusticate, complete the Agape story, rally around grandchildren and rely on God to help us discern how we can best serve you all upon our return to a regular schedule in April.
As the full moon of Advent greets the beginning of this hallowed time of waiting, we sense the deep blessings of peace and we begin our time “away.” May the Advent yearning for the Prince of Peace fill our wounded politics and war-torn world with the healing balm of mercy: “Come and fill our hearts with your peace, Jesus.”
